Made using a more traditional mashbill of two-row pale malted barley and fermented with California Ale yeast, it was distilled in 2015 using a pot still, with Master Distiller Marko Karakasevic sleeping in four-hour shifts so he could make each cut himself. Aged in American oak charred to six different levels, the resulting liquid boasts a diverse, complex flavor profile including maple syrup, candied orange, currant, vanilla, and honey. Only 12 barrels were ever produced.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Malted Barley Series are lot releases from Wolves of Single Malt and Malted Barley whiskeys that were put down in small lots beginning in 2011\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 12 barrels in Lot One were distilled in 2015, and aged in American oak provided by Demptos of Napa - a cooperage relied on exclusively by cult winemakers.
